Company Narrative Development for a Fitness Marketplace

After completing our Fitness to Scale review, online fitness marketplace PayasUGym (now Hussle) recognised the need to better define its company narrative to support decision-making, talent attraction, hiring and re-branding.

We defined and brought to life the company’s vision, purpose and values/behaviours in line with the new brand, working alongside internal leadership and an external brand agency. Our work involved setting up a workgroup to create multiple ways to visualise and use the narrative so that it became an essential part of everyday work.

Hussle went from strength to strength securing partnerships with leading brands such as Three, Tesco and Premier Inn.

Jamie Ward, Hussle’s CEO uses the company’s mission everywhere: "To create a globally trusted fitness brand that helps people make life work out”. To date, Hussle has generated around 2.5 million gym visits from half a million people and partnered with 40% of UK gyms and health clubs.

Nick and his team helped us think through and capture the type of workplace and brand we wanted after doing a deep review of the business. He led us through a series of workshops to define our purpose and values, then set up and supported a working group to help us launch and use those values in our day to day work. We have found this work to be invaluable both internally with existing and new talent and externally with customers. Thanks to this work, we make our strategic narrative a key part of our decision-making and ongoing work around culture.
